WILD Public Relations Inc. draws its name from our insatiable appetite for exploration.

When you come from a family of entrepreneurs, starting your own business is inevitable. My entrepreneurial spirit started young. In my early days I was knocking on neighbours doors offering to shovel the snow from their driveways and then as I entered my teens, I posted ads on Craigslist to organize homes and closets. So it comes as no surprise that ultimately working for someone else was never going to make me happy. When I discovered a passion for PR, I knew I had found my sweet spot.

I’ve been so fortunate to meld my love of travel and the outdoors with a business that brings excitement and something new everyday. I chose the name WILD as it pays homage to my love of travel, adventure and the outdoors. Some highlights in my life include trekking to the base camp of Mount Everest, an epic four-month bike trip through Africa from Cairo to Capetown, hiking all three main routes of the Camino de Santiago in Spain and swimming with penguins in the Galapagos Islands. Closer to home, I love hiking all over our beautiful Canadian Rockies with my husband Michael and our Bernese Mountain Dog Rosie T. Bones, skiing until my quads are burning, and enjoying quick weekend getaways with friends and family.

On a professional front, I started my career running events with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment working primarily on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors. I enjoyed a turn in the not-for-profit sector fundraising for Big Brothers Big Sisters and then I entered agency life with highlights like launching a tour for Paul Brandt and Dean Brody, running a national campaign with Los Cabos Tourism, and leading Sporting Life’s expansion into Western Canada.

WILD has done so much for me. I am forever humbled to get to work with incredible brands but more importantly, incredible people. With you, we want to spark people’s zest for adventure, compel them to try something different and to engage and support them as they take a chance outside their comfort zone.

Born and raised a Calgary girl, it was practically a given that I would end up with a passion for prairie life and a love for mountain adventures. I’ve been skiing in the Rockies since I could walk, camping through BC and Alberta in everything from a two-man tent to a decked-out RV, kicking up dust in cowboy boots on any dancefloor I can find, and learning to love exploring my home as much as any foreign country. But my sense of adventure didn’t stop there. I have had the opportunity to cross borders into more than 17 countries (and counting) across five continents and enjoyed immersing myself in countless cultural experiences with every stamp of my passport.

But there’s nothing like traveling to faraway places to make you appreciate coming home. And that’s why I couldn’t think of a better place to put down my roots than here in Calgary. WILD combines my juxtaposed love for both home and new adventures by providing opportunities to work with travel, outdoor and lifestyle brands helmed by some of the most inspiring people I have ever met. My enthusiasm for public relations has always been spurred on by the incredible opportunities I’ve had to kickstart excitement for businesses and entrepreneurs with important and compelling stories to tell. At WILD, this is something I get to do every day.
