WILD first worked with CEO of Foothills Creamery, Bill McKenzie, during his previous tenure at Wild Rose Brewery. When the time came to engage PR for a new Foothills Creamery flavour announcement, Bill turned to WILD once again. Foothills Creamery tasked WILD with generating widespread awareness in the Calgary market for the retail launch of their C of Red Cinnamalt Swirl Ice Cream in partnership with the Calgary Flames. Following the success of the initial campaign, Foothills Creamery continues to engage WILD for ongoing support with additional product launches and other announcements.


  • Secured 40 pieces of media coverage for the C of Red Cinnamalt Swirl announcement within a matter of weeks
  • In addition to generating a feature story about C of Red Cinnamalt Swirl on the Global Calgary evening news (which was subsequently picked up by the 11pm news and morning show as well), WILD also secured an opportunity for a live taste test on the Global morning show on a second separate date, which resulted in nearly three full minutes of dedicated airtime
  • Generated coverage from Daily Hive, Calgary Citizen, CTV News, Strategy Magazine and Avenue Calgary to name a few
  • Conceptualized, developed, and executed a Western Canada mail-out campaign to tie into National Ice Cream Day
